The role involves setting up, running, and analyzing ocean simulations using the CROCO ocean model in an idealized open-ocean setup, integrating simple NPZD and iron-limited plankton models alongside the physical module.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and execute ocean simulations using the CROCO ocean model.
- Analyze simulation data to investigate biases in plankton growth rate, productivity, and phenology across different resolutions.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of post-doctoral researchers, research scientists, and NYU faculty.
- Conduct regular work on NYUAD’s Jubail supercomputer.
- Report findings under the supervision of Professor Francesco Paparella.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or obtain by September 2024 an undergraduate degree in a science, technology, engineering and mathematics with a strong mathematical and computational background.
