Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated PhD student to join our research team focused on wheat/rapeseed intercropping. The project aims to enhance the efficient use of soil resources, particularly water, by combining the deep-rooted rapeseed with the shallow-rooted wheat. This innovative approach is expected to foster a more climate-resilient, diverse, and productive cropping system.
Responsibilities:
Conduct and expand current field experiments across three locations. Investigate physiological interactions between wheat and rapeseed in mixed cropping systems. Contribute to the development of sustainable agricultural practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Crop Science or a related field.
- Valid driving license in Germany (essential for fieldwork).
- German language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
